Manchester United winger, Alexis Sanchez and Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are the top two most searched words on Google in Nigeria.

Google Nigeria made this known on Wednesday in Lagos when it presented the results of its 2018 Year in Search to the media.

According to him, the Osun elections, Alexis Sanchez, Black Panther searches top the 2018 trending list.

“Manchester United footballer Alexis Sanchez was both the most-searched person and the most searched sportsperson of 2018.”

Sanchez and Aubameyang were both big money transfers in the January transfer window as Arsenal replaced the former Dortmund man with the Manchester United-headed Chilean.

Barcelona’s Phillipe Coutinho also made the list which also featured Hollywood movie, Black Panther and British royalty Meghan Markle.

Coutinho’s big money move from Liverpool to Camp Nou made him the second most expensive player in history after conpatriot Neymar Jr.

The list which is obtained from Google trends is a reflection of the huge followership of Premier League football in Nigeria.
