Neymar to Take €15m Pay Cut

On the top football gist today, Neymar is not bothered about taking a 15 million euros (£13.7m) pay cut to rejoin Barcelona from Paris St-Germain. Looks like the Brazillian playmaker is really fed up with the ‘farmers’ league.’

PSG, sha are holding out for more money after rejecting several offers for the Brazil international, including one of 100m euros (£92.4m) plus Philippe Coutinho.

Go Away Balotelli, You Can’t Fly With Us – Flamengo

Brazilian side Flamengo have pulled the plug on their pursuit of striker Mario Balotelli.

Balotelli had demanded that the Serie A side also sign his brother, Enock, with a guaranty to give 10 starts with the reserve team.

Sad One As Ricky van Wolfswinkel Is Diagnosed with Brain Aneurysm

Basel striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel will sit out at least six months of the game to treat a brain aneurysm.

“I’m very grateful the brain aneurysm got discovered,” said the Dutchman, 30. “Normally a brain aneurysm is not discovered in time, only after it has ruptured and caused other damage.”

The aneurysm is a pre-existing condition and not caused by the severe concussion he sustained near the end of Basel’s Champions League qualifying match against LASK on 7 August.
